A woman with an arrest warrant from Pennsylvania tried to escape capture by jumping into the Susquehanna River in Binghamton.  The Binghamton Police Department says 29 year old Beverly Angela Carvin was eventually arrested Tuesday.  Carvin ran from police and jumped from the west side of the Exchange Street Bridge, near the flood wall, just after 7:00 am.  Carvin is from the New Milford area.  The Susquehanna County Probation and Parole Department says she was wanted on a parole violation related to theft.  Carvin also has a warrant out of Carbondale for charges of forgery and theft by unlawful taking.  She is currently in the Broome County jail and has waived extradition.
