Fundraiser Set for Local Veteran-Oriented Non-Profit

SHARE NOW

A Chili Cook-Off is being held to benefit a local non-profit organization. Hounds Helping Heroes rescues dogs from local animal shelters and puts them through an extensive six-month training program. Following completion of their initial training, the dog is then matched with a veteran. The dog and veteran then train together for an additional six months. These service dogs can help veterans suffering from PTSD with panic attacks, night terrors, reminders to take medication, and more.

The Chili cook-off to benefit Hounds Helping Heroes is being hosted at Southern Tier Harley Davidson on February 20th from 11AM until 2PM. General admission for event goers is $5 and includes all the chili you can eat. There will also be a Kids Zone and 50/50 raffle.

If you’d like to register a chili, you can do so for free at 11AM the day of the event.
