On Friday, the Broome County Grand Jury handed up a five count indictment against Christopher Chisholm, 23 of Binghamton, charging him with three counts of Assault and one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
The indictment alleges on February 8th, at a residence in the Town of Dickinson, the defendant intentionally or recklessly caused physical injury to a two year old child left in his care.
The child was scalded by bath water.
The case was investigated by members of the New York State Police.
District Attorney Gerald F. Mollen is prosecuting the indictment.
