A former Johnson City firefighter is appealing the village’s decision to discharge him over a public lewdness charge.
Robert Rauschmeier was discharged in July after charges that he allegedly exposed himself in a window. He has filed a lawsuit in State Supreme Court, seeking reinstatement and back pay.
The village believes it acted lawfully in discharging the firefighter.
A hearing is scheduled for Dec. 17 in Binghamton.
