Today’s snowstorm and subsequent school closing has forced the postponement of this evening’s public meeting focusing on natural gas exploration in New York.
“Marcellus Shale in Our Community: What’s in it for All of Us?” has been rescheduled for 7 p.m., Friday, March 4, at Binghamton West Middle School on West Middle Avenue.
The free, event, hosted by the Joint Landowners Coalition of New York, will include a panel of experts who will discuss such topics as: community tax revenue; the phenomenon of natural gas migration; the realities of water usage and chemical ingredients; the SGEIS; and economic and employment projections.
