More than 2,000 people showed up in Binghamton Saturday for a rally to support the Women’s March in Washington, DC. The event started in Martin Luther King Park before finishing outside the Broome County Courthouse. Binghamton was one of more than 300 cities around the world to rally for women’s rights and equality the day after Donald Trump was inaugurated as our 45th President. That included a rally in Ithaca, where police estimate close to 10,000 marched around City Hall. The national movement was started in opposition to President Trump, including worries that he has plans to repeal the Affordable Care Act and defund Planned Parenthood.
