Several Maine-Endwell High School students are taking part in an international competition on Network Science, sponsored by the National Science Foundation through a grant awarded to Binghamton University.
Hiroki Sayama of Binghamton University, visiting scholar Jin Akaishi, and graduate student Benjamin Bush, are mentoring the students with the help of the High School’s assistant principal Julie Gallagher.
Two teams of Maine-Endwell students are conducting the college and graduate level research with the help of their mentors.
Team 1 members are Juniors Cara Boothroyd, Brianna Benson, Deanna Blansky, Christina Kavanaugh.
Team 2 includes Sophomores Jessica Calderone, Emma Valentine, Josie Trichka.
Finalists in the competition will present their work in Budapest, Hungary, in June.
