Broome County Sheriff’s officers were serving an arrest warrant on Robert Griswold, 21, of Binghamton, when the suspect ran from them on foot.
Griswold was being arrested for a violation of parole.
The suspect was apprehended moments later by members of the Sheriff’s Office and the Binghamton Police Department.
In addition to the violation of Probation arrest warrant, Griswold was also charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and felony Escape.
Griswold is being held at the Broome County jail to await action in Broome County Court.
