A man robbed a BCT Federal Credit Union branch in Binghamton on Friday.
Just before 4pm, city police say a black male wearing a scarf over the lower part of his face handed a note demanding money to a teller inside the BCT branch on Broad Ave. The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the robber fled on foot. No one was injured.
The man was wearing a dark green hooded sweatshirt. He is around 5-foot-6 and of average build. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the police department at 772-7080.
The bank closed for the rest of the day on Friday but reopened for its regular hours on Saturday.
