Motorcyclist dies following Sunday crash in Binghamton

Authorities say that the motorcyclist involved in the crash in Binghamton on Sunday has died as a result of his injuries. 37-year-old William Nash Jr was riding his motorcycle west on Susquehanna Street in Binghamton when a car, heading EAST on Susquehanna Street, attempted to make a left-hand turn in front of him. Nash collided with the car which was being operated by 37-year-old Shaun Pauling-Payne. Authorities have since charged Pauling-Payne with vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated. Pauling-Payne submitted a breathalyzer test at the scene of the accident, which showed a Blood Alcohol Content Level of 0.22%.

 

A candlelight vigil is being held for William Nash Jr. at 7:30pm tonight. It’s being held next to the Yellow Deli at 121 Susquehanna Street in Binghamton. Guests are encouraged to bring their own candles, although some will be provided.
