Three stabbings have taken place in the City of Binghamton within the past five days:
The latest stabbing occurred in the area of Orton Avenue and Grand Boulevard, during the early morning hours of Halloween. Binghamton Police have arrested 30-year-old Donniel Trent of Binghamton after he stabbed a man in the leg. Trent’s victim, 28-year-old Adam Gray of Binghamton later died in the hospital as a result of his injuries. Trent has since been charged with Manslaughter and has been sent to city lock-up awaiting arraignment.
In a separate incident, 27-year-old Alease Downey of Binghamton, has been arrested on a charge of assault in the 2nd degree, after she stabbed a 32-year-old man inside of her home at around 8:30AM on Friday. The man was sent to Wilson Hospital where he was treated and released. Downey was immediately sent to city lock-up as well.
Binghamton Police have also released more information on the double-stabbing which occurred on Henry Street late last week. Police say that Santino Al was behind the stabbing of two individuals in the chest. One of the victims, a 44-year-old male suffered severe wounds and was unconscious when police arrived. The other victim, a 43-year-old male also received wounds to the torso, although less severe. Al has since been arrested and arraigned on charges of attempted murder and assault, and has been sent to the Broome County Jail.
