The Broome County STOP-DWI program has a new coordinator.
County Executive Barbara Fiala announced Monday that Chris Marion has been hired as the program’s new coordinator, replacing the retired Jim May.
Marion last served as a legislative assistant to the Broome County Legislature. He also currently serves as a First Lieutenant in the National Guard and is a veteran of the war in Afghanistan.
Marion is a native of Spencer and a graduate of the Spencer-Van Etten High School and Binghamton University.
He began his duties as STOP-DWI coordinator Monday.
May retired last month after more than 25 years in Broome County government.
