Mesha M. Taylor was sentenced Tuesday in Broome County Court to eight years in state prison and five years’ parole for felony criminal weapons possession, unlawful imprisonment and menacing, in connection to a May 2018 incident in the City of Binghamton.
Taylor was arrested by Binghamton Police on May 18, 2018; indicted by a Grand Jury on June 27, 2018; and convicted at trial on January 18, 2019. At trial, prosecutors proved Taylor knowingly possessed a semi-automatic handgu, and unlawfully restrained a female victim in a domestic dispute on Downs Avenue in the City of Binghamton. The handgun was reported stolen from Marengo County, Alabama.
