The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force recovered over 150 bags of heroin during a search of a home in Endicott. 26-year-old Samantha Bates and 30-year-old Orlando Torres, both of Endicott, were arrested on Wednesday.
Both had warrants for their arrest for felony criminal mischief out of the City of Binghamton. After a search warrant was executed at Bates’ Hayes Avenue home and her vehicle, police found 157 bags of heroin, 5.1 grams of crack cocaine, and close to $3,000 in cash. Bates is facing felony counts of criminal sale and criminal possession of a controlled substance, along with other drug-related charges, and Torres was arrested on the warrant. Both were sent to the Broome County jail.
