Binghamton Police have arrested three teens suspected of trying to commit burglaries on the city’s south side. Police say four young men were seen acting suspicious behind a home on Vine Street in the early morning hours on Thursday. When approached by police, all four ran.
Alex Vega and Juan Martinez, both 17, and a 15-year-old juvenile were eventually caught and arrested. Police say they were in possession of burglary tools. Vega and Martinez have been charged with attempted burglary and trespass and are being held at the Broome County Jail.
The 15-year old was released and will appear in court at a later date. The fourth suspect has not yet been located. Binghamton Police are asking anyone with information call detectives at (607) 772-7080.
