It was 50 years ago this month that the Rescue Mission opened its first thrift store, originally called the Helping Hand Store.
To celebrate, there will be a 50% off sale March 25th and 26th at all of their 13 stores, now known as Thrifty Shoppers, including the Binghamton location at 1139 Upper Front Street.
