The Rotary Club of Hillcrest Sponsors Career Shadowing Day March 7th

Monday, March 7th marks The Rotary Club of Hillcrest’s annual Career Shadowing Day.
In partnership with the Chenango Valley High School, the Rotary club has arranged internships for forty-nine high school juniors in areas of their interest and possible course of study for college.
Beginning at 8:30AM, the students are transported by Rotarians to local businesses to experience on the job training in fields of their choice.
Eighteen local businesses representing twenty-three occupations will welcome the students.
Each student will spend three hours onsite and then attend a catered luncheon at 1:30PM given by the Hillcrest Rotary at the First Church of the Nazarene in Hillcrest.
There the students will present a brief overview of their experience.
The Career Day Sponsors are:Binghamton University; Bearsch, Compeau, Knudson; Binghamton METS, BOCES; Broome County Sheriff’s Office, Channel 34, Chenango Bridge PT, Chenango Valley Animal Hospital, Corporate Care Management, Lourdes Hospital, NYS Forestry, Port Dickinson Elementary School, Red and White Catering, Rockwell Collins, RPA Electronics, Southern Tier Physical Therapy, and Vestal CSD..
