The third finalist in the search for the next Binghamton University president is on campus Wednesday.
Affirmative action lawyer Jonathan Alger is the chief compliance officer for intercollegiate athletics and general counsel for Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.
Alger manages all legal efforts for Rutgers, as well as monitoring policies and procedures in the athletics department. The Harvard Law School graduate is also chairman of a diversity task force.
The final two finalists for BU president will be on campus Friday and Monday. They will be identified the day before they arrive.
The search committee will make their final recommendations by the end of the month.
