The Southern Tier is dealing with its latest snow event Wednesday.
A few inches fell overnight for most of the region and a couple more could fall today before the snow tapers off this evening. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through 7pm for several counties in our listening area, including Broome and Tioga.
YNN meteorologist Dan Russell says the heaviest snowfall bands have already passed through, but strong wind gusts this afternoon could blow snow onto roadways. Please allow for extra time in your commute.
Several local school districts delayed their start or closed today.
Flights may be delayed out of the Greater Binghamton Airport. Arrival and departure times can be found online at www.flybgm.com or by calling 778-2000.
