Two local teens have been sentenced to ten years in state prison following an Endicott burglary that ended with a stabbing. A third suspect, 17-year-old Shawn Sanford of Vestal, is currently awaiting future court proceedings after he pleaded not guilty in the case. 18-year-old Steven Wolcott of Binghamton and 18-year-old Kyle Lewis of Vestal were sentenced after pleading guilty to first-degree burglary, a felony.
Endicott Police say the three teenagers burglarized an apartment on Watson Boulevard back in April, and when the 30-year-old man who lived in the apartment returned home, he confronted them. The man was then stabbed in the neck and abdomen during the confrontation. The apartment resident was able to survive, but Lewis and Wolcott were sentenced as adult offenders in the case, and given the heavy sentence.
