At this time, water levels in Vestal will peak right around major flood stage. The peak is expected Friday night through Sunday.
In Owego, the crest looks to produce flooding, the amount is dependent on snow melt and rain fall.
The potential exists for minor to moderate flooding on the Chemung river and its tributaries.
The potential exists for major flash flooding on smaller streams and creeks… poor drainage and low-lying areas.
