Binghamton Police continue to investigate a large fight inside a home on Murray Street Wednesday that left two people with gunshot wounds and a third person slashed with a machete. Police say the dispute started at 197 Murray Street over the use of a vehicle. 28-year-old John English is accused of brandishing a machete, which he used to slash 22-year-old Luis Rodriguez in the wrist. After the slash, police say Rodriguez took out a handgun and shot 51-year-old Jacque Hall in the face and 30-year-old Heather Houck in the leg. All three were taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. As a result of the investigation, Rodriguez is now facing a charge of attempted murder while English is charged with assault. Binghamton Police recovered the weapons used in the fight, and also found drug paraphernalia inside the residence.
