The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for heavy wet snow… which is in effect from 4AM to 5PM EST Friday.
* Locations: Bradford Pennsylvania, Broome, Tioga, Chenango and Otsego counties.
* Hazards: heavy wet snow occasionally mixed with rain.
* Accumulations: snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches, especially in the higher terrain.
* Timing: late tonight through Friday.
* Temperatures: lower to middle 30s falling into the upper 20s in the afternoon.
* Winds: northeast winds around 10 mph becoming northwest at 15 to 30 mph during the afternoon.
* Impacts: difficult travel due to snow covered roads.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow… sleet… or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties.
Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities… and use caution while driving.
