Demolition work has begun on property that will become the new UHS primary care center on the Vestal Parkway.
The work is part of a $29 million project to construct a new, state-of-the-art facility that will feature physician services by appointment, plus walk-in, diagnostic imaging, laboratory and pharmacy services.
The site is across the street from Binghamton University and is located to serve patients from throughout the Greater Binghamton area.
The building being demolished is the former home of the Press and Sun Bulletin .
The new, three-story building is expected to be completed by July 2012.
