Broome County Sheriff’s SRG arrests wanted Binghamton man

The Broome County Sheriff’s Office Strategic Response Group has announced the arrest of a wanted Binghamton man.

According to police, 42-year-old Christopher Knapp was wanted on several warrants, including felony burglary in Johnson City, felony probation violation in Gloversville and criminal possession of a controlled substance in Whitney Point.

He was charged with obstruction of governmental administration after being apprehended following a brief struggle with deputies.

Knapp was processed before being transferred to the Johnson City Police Department to answer for the burglary warrant.
