Broome County Executive Jason Garnar announced Friday that he is not renewing the ‘no unnecessary travel’ emergency order signed in March regarding the
COVID-19 pandemic. All emergency orders are renewed every five days and as the State begins to move toward
regional reopening the team at the Emergency Operations Center has come to the decision to let this order expire.

Broome County Officials remind you to stay home whenever you can, maintain social distancing, and wear masks in public as required by the state.

Additionally, while most Broome County Facilities remain closed, effective immediately in line with state orders, all visitors to county facilities will be required to wear a facial covering.
