A 32-year-old woman is headed to prison for causing the death of her daughter. In Broome County court, Serina Madden was sentenced to 15 years in prison, and
five years’ parole, for first-degree manslaughter, for the February 2018 death of her 10-year-old daughter, Belladonna Loke, in the Town of Colesville. The District
Attorney said Madden recklessly engaged in conduct constituting severe neglect, including malnutrition, starvation and lack of medical care, which caused the death of the girl.
