Chenango Forks football coach Dave Hogan was recognized this week as the 2024 Lou Rettino High School Coach of the Year.
The New York Giants announced the award last month after Hogan led the Blue Devils to its 23rd Section IV championship this past season.
Chenango Forks pulled out a thrilling 38-35 win over the defending state champion Waverly Wolverines in the Section IV Class C championship game. The Blue Devils would eventually fall to Salamanca in the state semifinals.
Hogan has an incredible 172-23 record, 12 sectional titles and five state championships in his 17 seasons as the head coach at Forks.
The Chenango Forks football program will receive $4,000 from the Giants Foundation and Gatorade.
