A Conklin man was found unresponsive after a standoff at the Hampton Inn in Cortland. 28-year-old Corey Hobart was found in a bathroom at about 3AM Saturday morning with self-inflicted gunshot wounds. The incident began at the Johnson City Walmart, after Hobart was spotted by police. Hobart was wanted on a parole warrant. He had recently been convicted of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Criminal Possession of a Forged instrument. Hobart is in critical condition and is being treated at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.
