A Deposit, New York man has been charged with assault and manslaughter in connection with the death of a toddler.
According to the New York State Police, 26-year-old James Christ, Jr. of Deposit recklessly caused the death of the child.
Troopers were dispatched to an address on Fair Street in Deposit on May 10th after a toddler became unresponsive. Following an investigation, Christ was charged with felony assault in the first degree and felony manslaughter in the second degree.
Christ was remanded to the Delaware County Jail without bail. The investigation is ongoing.
