Investigators have yet to release the cause of a fire that destroyed a Deposit home. The Deposit Fire Chief says crews responded to the China Road home around 3:30 a.m. Saturday. They say the fire started in the kitchen. The owner was the only person home at the time and was not hurt. The cold temperatures caused some issues while putting out the fire and it later rekindled that night, destroying the home. The Red Cross is assisting the homeowner.
