A driver was killed after their car went off the road near Whitney Point last week.
According to the New York State Police, the crash occurred at around 4:19 p.m. on Friday when a vehicle traveling north on 81 near the Exit 8 on-ramp went off the roadway and struck a tree.
Police said there was heavy rain in the area at the time of the crash, but the cause of the accident is under investigation.
The driver was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
