An Endicott man has been sentenced to 10 years in state prison for drugs and weapons charges.
According to the Broome County District Attorney’s Office, Philip Alvarez III pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon.
As part of his plea agreement, Alvarez will serve 10 years in state prison for the drug charge and seven years for the weapons charge. The sentences will run concurrently.
The charges stemmed from a Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force search warrant at a Main Street home in Endicott back on July 24, 2024. Two loaded guns, over 148 grams of cocaine and digital scales were recovered.
Alvarez will also have to serve five years of post-release supervision.
