An Endicott woman is being charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child. 22-year-old Kimberly Walicke was arrested by Endicott Police after she allegedly purposely injured a 5-year-old child. The child, who suffered a bruise to his face, was treated and released for his injuries. Police sent Walicke to the Broome County jail without bail. The endangering the welfare of a child charge is a misdemeanor, but Walicke is facing a second-degree assault charge, a Class D felony.
