Endicott Police took a man into custody yesterday afternoon after two people were stabbed on Washington Avenue. According to police, Lonell Barnes stabbed one person in front of the Washington Deli, at 2 Washington Avenue. Police said he stabbed another person on the sidewalk in front of Citizens Bank at 18 Washington Avenue. The incidents occurred just before 1 p.m. yesterday. Witnesses said the stabbing started out as an argument taking place inside the deli. Both the victims were treated and released from Wilson Hospital. Police said Barnes also slashed the tires of two different cars. The Endicott Police Department are linking the incident to a stabbing that occurred Sunday night.
