The New York State Police at SP Binghamton and SP Endwell concluded a 12 day investigation today into the suspicious death of 36 year old Scott A. Poyer of Endicott. Police arrested 35 year old Darrell C. Swartwood also of Endicott and have charged him with 1st degree manslaughter.
The investigation revealed that Poyer and Swartwood got into an argument that resulted in a physical altercation on March 15th and Swartwood continued to assault Poyer after the altercation was over.
Poyer’s body was carried to his own residence where it was discovered 2 days later by a visiting neighbor. Swartwood is awaiting arraignment in the Town of Union Court.
