A man is facing multiple counts of forgery and grand larceny after Endicott Police said he stole wallets from shoppers at Price Chopper. Yesterday police arrested Jason Mitchell of Endicott on one count of identity theft, three counts of grand larceny, seven counts of forgery, and one count of criminal possession of stolen property. Mitchell is accused of stealing wallets containing credit cards, cash and personal information from the purses of three different people while they were shopping. Mitchell has a prior identity theft conviction, and is also accused of taking one of the credit cards, forging the owner’s signature and using it to buy several cartons of cigarettes at a local convenience store.
