A Town of Union man was arrested last night after he was found acting disorderly on North St. near Nebraska Ave. in the Town of Union.
Dean Stringfield, 45, of Endwell was on the side of the road yelling, cursing, and drinking alcohol.
When deputies approached him to check his welfare, he refused to give his name or address and began to curse at the deputies.
He was taken to the Sheriff’s Office to obtain his identity.
While there he refused to cooperate.
An investigation revealed that several days earlier he had given another Broome County Sheriff’s Office deputy a false name.
His true identity was obtained by running his fingerprints.
He was arraigned at the Town of Dickinson Court and remanded to the Sheriff’s jail in lieu of $1000.00 cash bail.
