Former Johnson City Middle School Principal Daniel Erickson pleaded guilty to luring a child in Broome County Court on Monday.
The former principal engaged in sexually charged conversations with a 16-year-old girl on Snapchat between June 28 and July 7 of 2023.
Erickson was arrested when he agreed to meet the student at a remote location to have sex with her.
He resigned as the Johnson City Middle School Principal in August of 2023.
Erickson will be sentenced on July 30 to six months in jail followed by five years of probation. He will also be placed on the sex offender registry and has to make restitution to the victim.
