The Harpursville Central School District has informed parents that one if its employees has been arrested and is facing serious charges.
Superintendent Heath Georgia said they took immediate action, and the individual is no longer employed by the school district.
The New York State Police told WBNG-TV that there is no believed threat to any students in connection with the arrest.
The school district said police have not indicated that the charges involve any activity that occurred on school grounds or involved students.
