The Village of Endicott Board of Trustees passed two resolutions earlier this week as the search for a new Endicott Police Chief continues. The first was to approve the New York State Civil Service specifications for the vacant chief of police position. The second was to approve a 211 waiver which will allow former New York State Police Captain Patrick Garey to assume responsibility of interim Endicott Police Chief. The 211 waiver will allow interim Chief Garey to serve without any consequence to his retirement package from the New York State Police.
