A Johnson City man was convicted of weapons charges following a trial in Broome County Court this week.
According to the Broome County District Attorney’s Office, 47-year-old Grady J. Hunter was found guilty of criminal possession of a weapon in the second and third degrees. The jury took less than two hours to come back with a guilty verdict.
The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force arrested Hunter for having a loaded .380 handgun after a search warrant was executed on his car in Binghamton on May 31, 2023. The New York State Police Crime Lab assisted with the investigation.
Hunter will be sentenced on Nov. 27.
