A Johnson City man has pleaded guilty in Broome County Court after he fractured his infant daughter’s skull last year.
According to the Broome County District Attorney’s Office, Joshua Dooley pleaded guilty to second degree assault, fourth degree criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child.
Johnson City Police responded to a domestic dispute on November 25, 2024. The investigation revealed Dooley had forcibly taken his three-week old daughter from his girlfriend, grabbed the child by the head and shook her, while demanding she stop crying.
Dooley also struck his daughter in the face during the incident. The child was treated for a fractured skull, swelling, bruising and internal injuries.
Dooley will be sentenced on June 3rd.
