Johnson City receives $600K grant for police, fire and public works

The Village of Johnson City recently received a $600,000 grant to help the village’s police, fire and public works departments.

The Police Department received: two vehicles (one undercover and one marked), building upgrades and station repairs, surveillance cameras, computers, and other equipment.

The Fire Department received: two vehicles, a rescue boat (on order), new fire hoses, extrication and rope rescue equipment, and other smaller items.

The Department of Public Works received: a tractor, an over the bank (flail) mower, and a brush hog.
