After Johnson City officials took down the rims at the basketball courts at C. Fred Johnson Park, they have announced that the hoops will be back up this Saturday. Mayor Greg Deemie said the basketball hoops were originally removed from the park after a group of teenagers littered the park and left it a mess. Some local residents cried foul, saying the hoops shouldn’t be removed just because of the actions of one group. Other parks in the village still have their hoops.
