Construction on Johnson City’s Arch Street Bridge is scheduled to begin today. The $2.6 million rehabilitation project is scheduled to be completed by mid-December of this year. Traffic on the bridge will be reduced to one single lane for southbound traffic only. The bridge will be closed to all northbound traffic — northbound traffic will be detoured to Lester Avenue.
