Four Deposit Men Charged in McDonalds Stabbing

FROM JOHNSON CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT:

Johnson City Police Department arrested four men (click headline to see photos) on Friday in the stabbing incident last week at McDonalds, 339 Main St., Johnson City. All four are from Deposit and were charged with Gang Assault in the First Degree. Additional arrests are possible.

 

Dane R. Edwards, age 22, of Deposit, NY

Jay M. Moore, age 33, of Deposit, NY

Travis J. Dise, age 24, of Deposit, NY

Christopher G. Nugent, age 31, of Deposit, NY

 

All four were arrested following an investigation that was initiated by Johnson City police and charged with two counts each of:

Gang Assault in the 1st Degree NYS PL 120.07

 

The men are accused of causing serious physical injuries to the victims in this incident.  They were arraigned and remanded to the Broome County jail without bail.

 

The men were arrested in Deposit without incident. Johnson City police were assisted by New York State Police and the Deposit Police Department in making the arrests. Additional arrests are expected.

 

Although each is charged with Gang Assault, they do not belong to a traditional gang. This charge is referred to Gang Assault because there were two or more people involved in this assault, according to Johnson City police.
