Johnson City Police have made arrests in two burglary cases.
In the first incident, 23-year-old Sarah Maliwacki of Johnson City and 54-year-old Joseph Ringwood of Endwell are alleged to have entered a residence through a basement window and stealing property. The resident of the property arrived home and saw both suspects climbing out of the window. The resident knew the suspects, who both fled the scene but were located a short time later by Binghamton PD. Both were arrested on felony burglary charges and transported to the Johnson City Police Department. Maliwacki and Ringwood were arraigned in the Town of Union Court and were remanded to the Broome County Jail.
In the second incident, JCPD arrested 33-year-old Jacob Gonzalez, of New Milford, PA, for felony burglary. It’s alleged that he entered a vacant building on Park Street and stole items from inside the building. During normal patrol a Johnson City Police officer saw a vehicle parked near an entrance to the building, prompting them to check the building. An entry point was found and Gonzalez was located in the building by police. He was arraigned in the Village of Endicott Court and remanded to the Broome County Jail.
