Two convenience stores were robbed within a half hour Thursday night by a man with a similar description flashing a knife. Johnson City police said at approximately 10:20 p.m., a white man dressed in black robbed Bobbi’s Mini Mart off Harry L. Drive. Nearly 20 minutes later, another robbery by a man fitting the same description was reported at the King’s Deli, 274 Floral Avenue.
The man was last seen running south on Ackley Avenue. A witness told police he may have gotten into a blue four-door sedan on Ackley Avenue. No other description of the vehicle was provided. In both cases, the man made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. The man was described as white, with a thin build in his early to mid 20s, last seen wearing all black clothing, a black scarf and armed with a knife. Police said he was not wearing gloves.
