A juvenile wanted for Attempted Murder was arrested today in the City of Binghamton by the Southern Tier SWAT team.
On Tuesday, October 1, members of the Broome County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Division and the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force obtained information on the location of a 17-year-old female of Binghamton, who was wanted for Attempted Murder in relation to a recent shooting in the City of Binghamton. The juvenile fugitive was tracked to locations on Floral Ave. and Chelsea Square in the City of Binghamton.
The Southern Tier SWAT team was then deployed, executing a search warrant at a residence on Floral Ave. before executing an arrest warrant at a residence on Chelsea Square in the City of Binghamton, successfully taking the juvenile into custody without incident.
The juvenile was turned over to the City of Binghamton Police to be processed on the Attempted Murder charge. The juvenile will then be arraigned on the warrant for that charge and turned over to the custody of the Broome County Sheriff’s Office.
The Broome County Sheriff’s Office and the Southern Tier SWAT team was assisted by the United States Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force and Binghamton Police Department.
